Citizen Metals makes tie rod and sag rod assemblies to a variety of ASTM standards. Tie rod assemblies are commonly utilised in two different forms. A single rod with a left-hand thread on one end and a right-hand thread on the other is one option. Each end of the rod is threaded with a clevis, and the assembly is tightened by turning it. The second tie rod assembly layout consists of two rods with clevises on both ends and a turnbuckle in the middle. One rod is threaded right hand/right hand, while the other rod is threaded right hand/left hand for this assembly. The assembly is tightened by turning a turnbuckle between the two rods. Low-carbon steel is usually used to make tie rods, but higher-strength assemblies can also be made. Tie rod assemblies made of carbon or alloy steel can be plain finished or hot-dip galvanised, and stainless steel tie rod assemblies are also prevalent.
