Due to the high nickel content, Inconel 600 Heavy Hex Bolts are nearly immune to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking and resistant to corrosion by a broad spectrum of organic and inorganic chemicals. Inconel 600 Allen Square Bolts are typically utilised in heat exchanger tubes nuclear reactor vessels and, chemical processing machinery, parts and fixtures for heat treating furnaces, gas turbine components such as jet engines, electronic components, etc. Even though Inconel 600 Allen Round Head Bolts are resistant to dry Cl2 and HCl gases at relatively high temperatures, they should not be utilised at red heat in the presence of sulphur due to the nickel content of the material.

Nickel is the main part of the alloy used to make Inconel 601 Hex Bolts. Chromium is added to make the alloy stronger.
